Early Childhood

EC/DK (Developmental Kindergarten as often referred to) educates children aged 3 to 5 with various Individual Education Plan (IEP) needs.  Teachers teach the skills needed for success later in kindergarten,  The A.M. classes are predominantly 3 year old students and  young 4 year old students, the P.M. classes are mostly older 4 year old students and young 5 year old students. 

• Each teacher has at least one fantastic assistant that reemphasize teaching lessons, reinforce directions, and helping to build independent workers.
• The teachers work not only with our students, but their families and each other to promote an exciting learning environment for all of the students!
• Busing is available for EC/DK students.

To enter the program students are screened through the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative.
